Nature

Iikka has a colorful personality to say at least. As the nickname Turbotabby tells, he has lots of energy when it is needed. Although he will soon be ten years old, the wild and active nature is still there. One of the reasons is that he isn't allowed to go outside freely but he's always in a leash in our garden.

As a sovereign ruler of our house Iikka does not obey any rules. If he wants to, he runs over chairs and tables at full speed - knocking objects out of his way. He has also conquered the highest places like shelvetops and even curtain rods.

Iikka uses a lot of imagination when choosing places where to sleep. In addition to normal spots (beds, baskets, boxes) he often sleeps on our dining table! He also likes to take a nap in my wheelchairs or on top of my walker.

Iikka is an amazing vocalist. There's a sound for every situation. He can moan, purr, roar, meow and everything else. He says "Avaa" (open in Finnish), and anytime somebody touches him, he greets us with a special chudder.

Iikka loves people. He greets everyone and hurries to the door when the doorbell rings. Unashamedly he looks into visitors' purses.

Our whole family is very dear to Iikka. Everyone has their own role. I'm like a (big) brother while mom and dad give food, let him in and out and clean his litter. Iikka likes to purr on mom's lap but on my lap he doesn't want to be - unless it's outside in the garden.

As you might guess, Iikka is a spoiled and loved cat. He only has to look into the eyes and he gets his food. With his sweet, persuasive face expressions he gets a lot of attention and talking. A dear child has many names, so does Iikka.

It is better to obey Iikka in the first place. Unless he gets his way, you will hear sounds of breaking glass and dropping objects and find toothprints in various things like my suction machine's tubes and wheelchair handles.
