Photographing
I do some photographing, especially while traveling but I also shoot normal, everyday situations. My equipment consist of a Canon EOS 550D with these lenses:
Canon EF-S 15-85/3.5-5.6 IS USM: This is a great general purpose lens that is able to come close to the L-class image quality, thanks to UD and Aspheric elements. The zoom range is one of the most useful ones available. The image stabilizer makes up for the rather small maximum aperture.
Canon EF 70-300/4.0-5.6 IS USM: This is my ship-shooting lens. The lenght is very much needed at sea. Also this lens has an UD element that improves the image quality.
Canon EF 50/1.4: A great and sharp portrait prime which is a delight to use when photographing Arska. The large maximum aperture enables great background blur.
Previously I had a Sigma 17-70 with the Canon body. Some of the oldest photos on Joni's ship photos were taken with Canon PowerShot G2 and Pro1.
